My sister in law Lindsey is away at college right now, and I just finished the cutest slippers to send her:
The pattern is this one from Tiny Owl Knits (I love her stuff - do yourself a favor and look at everything she has on Ravelry, seriously). The only thing I didn't follow was the felting part; Lindsey asked for either green or purple, and I liked this color but knew it wouldn't felt right. So, I just doubled up the yarn and left it as is. This is how they looked before the ears went on:
The actual slipper pattern was super easy and comfy - I might make a pair for me sans the faces :). The nose and eyes are just doubled up embroidery thread, but you could certainly use leftover bits of yarn.
I had to try them on quite a few times, just to make sure they fit!
I realized today that I forgot the little bunny tail in the back, but that might be better for slippers that'll be worn in the dorms all the time. We're seeing the family in a couple of weeks so I can add them if she wants :). They still turned out very cute and I will definitely make this pattern again!
