Finished Project - Stuffed Duckie

Months ago, I promised a friend of mine a purple duckie. With all that's been going on, I kept forgetting to give him to her, but he's finally off to his new home:

I used this pattern from Frankie Brown, and it was super easy. It's knit sideways, in one piece, and then the sides are sewn together. The wings and beak are knit separately and then sewn on. She used yarn for the eyes, but when I attempted it, it looked really creepy (please excuse the terrible, terrible flash):

I took those out and went with rhinestones instead; as you know by now, rhinestones are usually my answer. Before I glued them on, I used a piece of yarn to make some indents (my husband's suggestion, and I must admit he was right :P). Obviously, if I made this pattern for a child, I would find a way to make the yarn eyes work so that nothing got accidentally swallowed...but since this is for a grown up, I was free to rhinestone away.

It only took me an afternoon, and I just used leftover yarn. Well, leftover yarn and the glue gun!

I definitely recommend this pattern - especially since it's free! My friend was so happy with it that she didn't want to give it up (it was a birthday present for a friend of hers), so I'll definitely be making another one soon :).
